The Saint John Paul II Respect Life Ministry works to promote and defend the dignity of every human person from conception to natural death. Guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, we seek to build a culture in which every life is welcomed, protected, and loved.Our ministry raises awareness of respect-life issues, supports responsible pro-life legislation, offers educational programs, and collaborates with local and national organizations. We also raise funds for pregnancy resource centers and connect mothers and families in need with compassionate assistance through our Walking with Moms in Need Resource Directory.Through regular meetings, prayer, education, fundraising, and community outreach, we encourage Catholics to become faithful witnesses to the Gospel of Life. We also assist New Jersey Right to Life, Morris County Right to Life, and other organizations whose work reflects our mission.The ministry currently includes representatives from five area parishes: Saint Cecilia Church and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Rockaway, Saint Mary’s Parish in Denville, Saint Clement Pope and Martyr Parish in Rockaway Township, and Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Mountain Lakes.

Guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church, we strive to build a culture of life through prayer, education, advocacy, compassionate outreach, and support for mothers, children, families, and all who are vulnerable. Working together across our parish communities, we seek to be faithful witnesses to the truth that every person is a precious gift from God.
